The best WhatsApp tools for abandoned cart recovery
A cart reminder on WhatsApp works because it reaches the buyer where they read messages. It also costs money: cart reminders are marketing messages, ₹0.8631 each to Indian numbers from 1 October 2026, and some tools add a markup on top.
Before choosing a tool, know the three settings that decide whether cart recovery helps or annoys: how long it waits, whether it stops once the order is placed, and how many follow-ups it sends. Ask each vendor to show you these in a demo; not all of them publish the details.
| # | Tool | Best for | Price (checked 16 October 2026) |

| 1 | Tadlo AI | Cart recovery in the same plan as COD and order updates | Free (10 messages/day); paid from ₹999 a month |
| 2 | Interakt | Shopify stores with established flows | WhatsApp from ₹2,799 a month + markup on Meta charges |
| 3 | AiSensy | Cart reminders alongside heavy campaigns | Free plan; paid from ₹1,500 a month + markup on Meta charges |
| 4 | WATI | Stores already using WATI for support | From ₹2,999 a month + markup on Meta charges |
1. Tadlo AI
Our top pick
Best for: Cart recovery in the same plan as COD and order updates
Tadlo AI includes abandoned cart recovery on its Growth plan, ₹2,499 a month, using Shopify and WooCommerce events. The same plan confirms COD orders and sends order updates, so one tool covers the buyer from cart to doorstep.
Its published page does not list its delay or follow-up settings in detail, so check them during setup. What it does publish: no markup on Meta's charges, automatic opt-out handling, and revenue attribution on Pro, which shows how many carts the reminders actually recovered.
Price: Free forever plan with up to 10 messages a day. Starter ₹999, Growth ₹2,499, Pro ₹5,999 and Scale ₹11,999 a month, priced on unique contacts engaged per month. Meta's message charges are billed by Meta directly to your own account, and Tadlo adds no markup. Prices exclude GST.
Strengths
- No markup on Meta's message charges: Meta bills your own WhatsApp Business Account directly, and Tadlo only charges a flat plan
- Built for D2C: abandoned cart recovery, COD to prepaid nudges and order updates from Shopify and WooCommerce (Growth plan and above)
- Instagram comments to WhatsApp chats, which most WhatsApp-only tools cannot do
- Priced on unique people reached, not on every message, so you can follow up without counting sends
- Number health checks every 15 minutes, gradual ramp-up for new numbers and automatic opt-out handling
- Your WhatsApp Business Account is created inside your own Meta business account, so it stays yours
Limitations
- Newer than AiSensy, WATI or Interakt, with a shorter track record
- Commerce automations start on the Growth plan (₹2,499 a month)
- Tadlo AI is onboarding brands in stages, and you request access on its WhatsApp page.
2. Interakt
Best for: Shopify stores with established flows
Interakt's Shopify integration is included on every WhatsApp plan and is widely used by Indian brands for store messages. Check its cart reminder options in the trial; its per-message marketing rate is ₹0.958 on Growth.
Price: WhatsApp plans: Growth ₹2,799 and Advanced ₹3,799 a month plus taxes; Enterprise on request with no markup. The ₹999 Starter plan covers Instagram only. Interakt charges its own per-message rates, which sit above Meta's: marketing ₹0.970 / ₹0.958 / ₹0.949 and utility ₹0.160 / ₹0.150 / ₹0.140 on Starter, Growth and Advanced. 14-day free trial.
Strengths
- Shopify on every WhatsApp plan
- 14-day trial to test
Limitations
- Markup on marketing messages below Enterprise
- WhatsApp plans from ₹2,799
3. AiSensy
Best for: Cart reminders alongside heavy campaigns
AiSensy connects Shopify and WooCommerce on paid plans and is strong on retargeting campaigns. Its marketing rate of ₹1.09 per message to Indian numbers is about 26% above Meta's, which adds up on cart reminders.
Price: A forever-free plan gives WhatsApp API access with ₹1000 in ad credits and ₹50 in conversation credits, for 1 agent, without broadcasts or integrations. Paid plans were Basic ₹1,500 and Pro ₹3,200 a month according to AiSensy's blog on 17 February 2025. Calculated from AiSensy's published India rates (marketing ₹1.09, utility ₹0.145) against Meta's rates, its message charges are about 26% higher than Meta's.
Strengths
- Retargeting strength
- Shopify and WooCommerce on paid plans
Limitations
- About 26% above Meta's rates
- Wallet top-ups
4. WATI
Best for: Stores already using WATI for support
WATI connects Shopify through a $4.99 a month add-on and WooCommerce through an official integration. If your support team already uses WATI, adding cart reminders keeps everything in one inbox.
Price: Growth ₹2,999, Pro ₹6,499 and Business ₹18,499 a month billed monthly, with savings of up to 10% on quarterly and up to about 25% on annual billing. Growth includes 3 users with no additional users; Pro and Business include 5, with extra users at ₹1,299 and ₹2,199 a month each. Template and service messages are charged on top, with a markup on Meta's rates. A free trial is available.
Strengths
- One inbox for support and cart replies
- WooCommerce integration
Limitations
- Markup percentage not published
- Shopify is an add-on
The three settings that matter
| Setting | Why it matters | What we suggest |
|---|---|---|
| First delay | Too soon feels pushy; too late and they have bought elsewhere | One to a few hours after the cart is left |
| Stop on purchase | Reminding someone who already ordered loses trust | Must stop the moment the order is placed |
| Follow-ups | Each one is another marketing message | One reminder, at most one follow-up a day later |
What a cart reminder should say
- The product name and photo, so they recognise it.
- A one-tap link back to the same cart, not the home page.
- A reason to finish: low stock, free delivery threshold, or COD available.
- A way to ask a question, since many carts are abandoned over doubts about size or delivery.
- No discount in the first message; save it for the follow-up if you use one at all.
What cart recovery costs
Each reminder is a marketing message. At ₹0.8631 to Indian numbers, 5,000 reminders a month cost Meta's charges of about ₹4,316, before any tool markup. Only message people who opted in at checkout, and keep follow-ups to one, so the cost stays proportionate to the carts you recover.
Measure what you recover
Track three numbers: carts reminded, carts recovered within a few days, and revenue from those orders. Tools with revenue attribution, such as Tadlo AI's Pro plan, do this for you; otherwise use UTM parameters on the cart link.
