Instagram and WhatsApp automation for fashion brands

By DilKart Editorial. Updated 16 October 2026.

Fashion sells on Instagram and gets questioned on WhatsApp. A reel shows the outfit; the comments ask about size, fabric and price; the buyer wants to know about COD, delivery and exchanges before paying. Most fashion questions repeat, which makes them ideal for automation, and most fashion brands run drops and festive sales that bring sudden spikes.

This playbook ranks tools on the fashion jobs, then shows how to set each one up.

1. Tadlo AI

Our top pick

Best for: Fashion brands that sell on Instagram and close on WhatsApp

On Instagram, a comment like "size?" or "price?" can trigger a carousel of the outfit's pieces, 2 to 10 product cards in one DM, plus your size chart. Several keyword rules can sit on the same reel, and every plan has unlimited DMs, so a viral drop does not raise the bill.

On WhatsApp, the Growth plan at ₹2,499 a month confirms COD orders with a switch to prepaid, sends order and delivery updates from Shopify or WooCommerce, and recovers abandoned carts. A comment can also open a WhatsApp chat when you have paid plans on both products, which is where exchange and fit questions belong.

Price: Instagram: Free forever plan with no card needed. Paid plans start at ₹249 a month in India or $5 a month elsewhere. Every plan, including Free, has unlimited automations and unlimited DMs (no monthly DM quota and no per-contact charge; sends are paced within Instagram's limits). WhatsApp: Free forever plan with up to 10 messages a day. Starter ₹999, Growth ₹2,499, Pro ₹5,999 and Scale ₹11,999 a month, priced on unique contacts engaged per month. Meta's message charges are billed by Meta directly to your own account, and Tadlo adds no markup. Prices exclude GST.

Strengths

  • Unlimited DMs and automations on every plan, including Free, so a viral reel never raises your bill
  • Email capture, comment-to-product carousels and a link-in-bio page in the same tool
  • No markup on Meta's message charges: Meta bills your own WhatsApp Business Account directly, and Tadlo only charges a flat plan
  • Built for D2C: abandoned cart recovery, COD to prepaid nudges and order updates from Shopify and WooCommerce (Growth plan and above)
  • Instagram comments to WhatsApp chats, which most WhatsApp-only tools cannot do

Limitations

  • Facebook comment-to-DM and Messenger keyword replies are still being added
  • Newer than AiSensy, WATI or Interakt, with a shorter track record
  • Commerce automations start on the Growth plan (₹2,499 a month)
  • Tadlo AI is onboarding brands in stages, and you request access on its WhatsApp page.

Sizes: answer before they ask

Size is the most common question in fashion comments and the most common reason for exchanges. Put your size chart in the first DM, with measurements in centimetres and inches, and one line on fit: "runs small, size up" saves more exchanges than any policy.

On WhatsApp, a buyer who asks about size after ordering should reach a person quickly; automation can send the chart, but fit questions need judgement.

Drops without chaos

  1. Announce the drop with a keyword in the reel and caption.
  2. Collect a waitlist and ask for an email or WhatsApp opt-in, since Instagram limits messages after 24 hours.
  3. On drop day, broadcast to the WhatsApp opt-ins first, then post the live reel.
  4. Answer "sold out?" comments with a restock waitlist keyword.
  5. Confirm every COD order from the drop before dispatch, because drop-day impulse buys are the most likely to be refused.

Festive sales

Festive sales are fashion's biggest weeks. Plan templates and segments early, check your messaging limit, and stagger broadcasts so your inbox can handle replies. Send to buyers who opted in, and keep the offer clear: what is discounted, until when, and how to buy.
