Instagram and WhatsApp automation for beauty and skincare brands

By DilKart Editorial. Updated 16 October 2026.

Beauty sells on routines and results: a five-step reel, a before-and-after, a creator's honest review. The comments ask "which serum?", "price?" and "is it good for oily skin?", and the best customers come back every few weeks when a bottle runs out.

This playbook ranks tools on the beauty jobs and is honest about which of them each tool automates.

1. Tadlo AI

Our top pick

Best for: Routine reels and repeat buyers

On Instagram, a routine reel can answer "LINK" with a carousel of every product in the routine, 2 to 10 cards in one DM, with unlimited DMs on every plan. A SKIN keyword can send your skin-type guide and ask for an email.

On WhatsApp, the Growth plan at ₹2,499 a month confirms COD orders, sends order updates from Shopify or WooCommerce, recovers carts and runs broadcasts with the cost shown first. For replenishment and reviews, be clear about how it works: Restock, winback and review messages are sent as opted-in broadcasts from the Growth plan, with the cost shown before you send. We did not find scheduled or event-triggered restock, winback, review or reorder automations in its published plans, so you choose the segment and send each broadcast yourself. Reminders and follow-up sequences run from your own booking, subscription or CRM system; we did not find scheduled reminders in Tadlo's published plans.

Price: Instagram: Free forever plan with no card needed. Paid plans start at ₹249 a month in India or $5 a month elsewhere. Every plan, including Free, has unlimited automations and unlimited DMs (no monthly DM quota and no per-contact charge; sends are paced within Instagram's limits). WhatsApp: Free forever plan with up to 10 messages a day. Starter ₹999, Growth ₹2,499, Pro ₹5,999 and Scale ₹11,999 a month, priced on unique contacts engaged per month. Meta's message charges are billed by Meta directly to your own account, and Tadlo adds no markup. Prices exclude GST.

Strengths

  • Unlimited DMs and automations on every plan, including Free, so a viral reel never raises your bill
  • Email capture, comment-to-product carousels and a link-in-bio page in the same tool
  • No markup on Meta's message charges: Meta bills your own WhatsApp Business Account directly, and Tadlo only charges a flat plan
  • Built for D2C: abandoned cart recovery, COD to prepaid nudges and order updates from Shopify and WooCommerce (Growth plan and above)
  • Instagram comments to WhatsApp chats, which most WhatsApp-only tools cannot do

Limitations

  • Facebook comment-to-DM and Messenger keyword replies are still being added
  • Newer than AiSensy, WATI or Interakt, with a shorter track record
  • Commerce automations start on the Growth plan (₹2,499 a month)
  • Tadlo AI is onboarding brands in stages, and you request access on its WhatsApp page.

2. Interakt

Best for: Established Shopify beauty brands

Interakt is widely used by Indian D2C brands on Shopify, with Shopify on every WhatsApp plan and campaigns. Its own rates sit above Meta's below Enterprise.

Price: WhatsApp plans: Growth ₹2,799 and Advanced ₹3,799 a month plus taxes; Enterprise on request with no markup. The ₹999 Starter plan covers Instagram only. Interakt charges its own per-message rates, which sit above Meta's: marketing ₹0.970 / ₹0.958 / ₹0.949 and utility ₹0.160 / ₹0.150 / ₹0.140 on Starter, Growth and Advanced. 14-day free trial.

3. AiSensy

Best for: Campaign-heavy beauty launches

AiSensy suits brands that launch often and lean on broadcasts and retargeting, with Shopify and WooCommerce on paid plans.

Price: A forever-free plan gives WhatsApp API access with ₹1000 in ad credits and ₹50 in conversation credits, for 1 agent, without broadcasts or integrations. Paid plans were Basic ₹1,500 and Pro ₹3,200 a month according to AiSensy's blog on 17 February 2025. Calculated from AiSensy's published India rates (marketing ₹1.09, utility ₹0.145) against Meta's rates, its message charges are about 26% higher than Meta's.

Strengths

  • Strong broadcasts
  • Free plan to start

Limitations

  • About 26% above Meta's rates
  • Wallet top-ups

4. LinkDM

Best for: Single-product launch posts

LinkDM sends a link and coupon from a comment, useful for one-product launches and creator codes.

Price: Free: 1 Instagram account and 1,000 DMs a month with LinkDM branding. Pro: $19 a month ($182 a year), up to 3 accounts and 25,000 DMs a month. Platinum+: $99 a month ($832 a year), up to 10 accounts and 300,000 DMs a month. Enterprise is custom.

Paid plans charge per active contact beyond those included. Essential and Pro have a 14-day free trial.

Strengths

  • Quizzes and branching
  • Many channels

Limitations

  • Billed by active contacts
  • Free plan covers 25 active contacts

Claims to keep out of DMs

Replenishment, honestly

Consumables like cleanser and sunscreen run out on a rough schedule. A practical routine is a monthly broadcast to opted-in buyers of each product who ordered around the usual use-up time, built from your order data. If you sell subscriptions, your subscription platform handles renewal reminders.

Reviews and creator content

Beauty buyers trust reviews and real faces. Send review requests to all recent buyers as an opted-in broadcast, never reward positive reviews, and invite customers to tag you. ASCI's influencer guidelines ask creators in India to label paid, gifted and affiliate content with a clear tag such as "Ad", "Collaboration", "Affiliate" or "Free gift", not buried among hashtags.
